Daytime television seems packed with such adverts, and of course surfing the internet will usually bring up many ‘sponsored links’ – those you will find in the top right hand side of the screen – and the offers seems irresistible. This form of advertising is hugely expensive and one has to wonder how these costs are afforded! The problem is that these adverts are targeted at those sections of the community that are at their most vulnerable, and are produced by sales people who are simply interested in achieving a sale.
