Originally with Barclays Bank for a career lasting 22 years working throughout the North West within the branch network with particular emphasis in retail sales, looking after the bank’s personal customers’ requirements for mortgages, loans and credit cards etc.

Clare also gained valuable experience in the accounts team of a firm of solicitors, based in Kendal, Cumbria, before becoming a director of a family business offering financial solutions to private individuals and businesses. She has also held directorships within the textile industry in an advisory capacity.

Clare joined Begbies Traynor plc in August 2006 with responsibilities to develop their debt management service, before being appointed a director of the W3 group of businesses to develop the overall debt solutions services to individual consumers in financial difficulties, with specific responsibility for Customer Service and creditor liaison.

Clare was invited to join Grant Thornton in 2008 as an Associate Director within their Personal Insolvency Management Team, taking responsibility for the setting up and running of their Debt Management Department, based in Chorley.

Clare and her husband bought the debt management business from Grant Thornton in 2008 and continue to run it as National Money at their office in Chorley.
